WHY GIVE IN? | How wokeism is killing American businesses.
The Left’s constant attack on issues that they deem to be woke are having a direct adverse impact on American businesses. Famous Democrat political consultant James Carville, Speaking with Vox in an interview published Tuesday, Carville said that Democrats often discuss racial issues using language that is alienating to some of the communities they are trying to reach.
“Wokeness is a problem and everyone knows it. It’s hard to talk to anybody today — and I talk to lots of people in the Democratic Party — who doesn’t say this. But they don’t want to say it out loud,” Carville said.
“Why not?” responded interviewer Sean Illing.
“Because they’ll get clobbered or canceled,” Carville responded. “And look, part of the problem is that lots of Democrats will say that we have to listen to everybody, and we have to include every perspective, or that we don’t have to run a ruthless messaging campaign. Well, you kinda do. It really matters.”
“I always tell people that we’ve got to stop speaking Hebrew and start speaking Yiddish. We have to speak the way regular people speak, the way voters speak,” he continued.[1]
The messaging the left is using to perpetuate the falsehoods of wokeism is killing businesses and its evident throughout corporate America. These actions have spurred new sayings that are far more accurate. “Get woke, go broke!” The idea of the MLB moving its all-star game out of Georgia because of what they deemed to be racist voting laws; only to move their all-star game out of Georgia to the much whiter state of Colorado. Coca-Cola is another company that has fully gone woke, In late February a whistleblower came forth with screenshots, posted on YouTube, of slides from Coke’s internal ‘diversity training’ course urging its employees to quote, “Be less white.” Plus there 2nd quarter profits being down almost 30% in 2020, Coca-Cola needs to reevaluate. This all stemmed from years ago when Colin Kaepernick started taking a knee during the national anthem, which eventually lead to the NBA going full woke with them all kneeling for the same anthem before games. There reason being citing that the American national anthem is racist, and America is a racist country. Then Lebron James went to China and stood for the Chinese national anthem and then his credibility was shattered when he stood for the Chinese national anthem of a country that has literally killed tens of millions of its own citizens.
The point behind all of this is that companies need to stop pandering to whatever the media tells you. Most Hollywood elites that are on tv have never stepped foot 70 miles outside of Hollywood to see how real Americans live. Most Americans are tired of being told by leftist elitists how we should act or behave. Companies need to create their own independent messaging to handle the woke problem. Companies need not pander to what they are being told by the media and stand up for themselves and for their customers. My biggest concern is why are people and businesses just giving into it?
