SHOULD WE TRUST THE MEDIA? | The plummeting media that nobody trusts!

I can’t think of a single entity more untrusted by the American people than the Federal Government and the Mainstream media. A recent 2021 poll showed that only 33% of likely US voters trust the mainstream media. 67% of the likely US voters do not or are unsure at best. [1]

Beyond trust, the media has credibility issues too! From a 2019 discussion on Full Measure News between Sharyl Atkinson and Scott Rasmussen, he commented: “The media has a huge credibility problem, and it’s always had the problem,” he explained. “Oh, we talk about it differently today. Now we talk about it as a political bias. I think the issues have always been there. I mean, people were complaining about the bias of Walter Cronkite back in the 1960s.”

He continued: “78% of voters say that what reporters do with political news is promote their agenda. They think they use incidents as props for their agenda rather than seeking to record what happened accurately. Only 14% think that a journalist is reporting what happened… If a reporter found out something that would hurt their favorite candidate, only 36% of voters think that they would report that.[2]

Then why do so many people keep watching the news? If you are watching liberally biased news from CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, Washington Post, New York Times to Conservative-leaning news like fox news, you must be aware of the narrative that they are promoting. Recently, the liberal media’s bias is getting worse and worse. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was cornered by Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy Thursday afternoon when he asked about why President Joe Biden killed the Keystone XL pipeline in the United States but just greenlit the completion of Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline through Europe.[3]

Or worse yet, how a year ago Trump came out saying how hydroxychloroquine was helpful to combat Covid-19, but now the media is finally admitting how helpful it has been all along.[4] The double standards are getting to be a bit much, and the American people are starting to notice.
